Melanie Stapleton of renowned florist Cecilia Fox took over HapPea Events in 2026. Moving our nursery and studio to Tamaki Makaurau, Auckland.

Recognised as one of Australia and New Zealand's most innovative florists and a leader in the Sustainable floristry movement. Melanie has been thrilled to add Happea to the Cecilia Fox botanical family.

Started in 2020 by Rocky and Claire, with a simple mission: to celebrate Aotearoa’s beautiful flora and make events less wasteful. Their passion for our natural environment and our people built the foundations of Happea today.

Creating vibrant, plant-filled spaces for events across Auckland and all over the North Island, we love working on all projects, from intimate gatherings to large-scale events.

For every booking with HapPea Events, a native tree is planted in Aotearoa

When you work with us, you’re also doing a little good for our planet. We’ve partnered with Trees That Count to help make Aotearoa greener. For every event with us, we donate a native tree on your behalf. After your event, you’ll receive a tree gift certificate and updates on where your tree has been planted. Every tree counts, so whether it’s your first time or your hundredth, you’re making a real difference. Thank you.

SUSTAINABLE PRACTICES

We believe beautiful events and a healthy planet should go hand in hand.

Here’s how we keep things green:

  • We exclusively work with NZ native flora.

  • Living plants are our main styling element (reusable!).

  • We forage our florals locally (no imports needed!).

  • We plant a tree for every event through Trees That Count.

  • When our plants are ready to retire, we plant them in the ground.

  • All our florals are foam-free.
